AKASHA BREWING Five Dock, New South Wales

Founded in 2015 by Dave Padden, Akasha Brewing Co. quickly carved out a niche in Sydney's craft beer scene with its focus on American style, hop-forward beers. Padden's passion for showcasing the unique properties of hops led to the creation of standout IPAs and pale ales that resonated with beer lovers around the country. Now in a strategic partnership with another iconic Sydney brewery, Wayward Brewing Co, a move that will see both beloved brands continue to brew real good beers.

AQUA BOOGIE Mordialloc, Victoria

Low calorie, low carb, low gluten, low sugar, naturally brewed. Aqua Boogie Hard Soda is light, fruity, and refreshing. Fun and approachable alternative to the mainstream RTD market made by Wolf of the Willows.  

BALLAST POINT BREWING San Diego, California  

What started in 1996 as a humble group of homebrewers driven by a love for great beer has grown into Ballast Point—a pioneering force in the American craft beer scene. Known for their adventurous spirit and commitment to innovation, Ballast Point blends scientific precision with creative flair to produce award-winning beers that have become icons in the industry. Every brew reflects their full circle approach to craft, from the carefully selected ingredients to the artwork on each can. Standouts like the flagship Sculpin IPA have earned global recognition, helping to define modern American brewing and inspire a generation of beer lovers.

BATCH BREWING CO.  Marrickville, New South Wales

Founded in 2013 by American expats Chris Sidwa and Andrew Fineran, Batch Brewing Co. was kickstarted Sydney’s Inner West craft beer scene. Driven by a love of community and creativity, the duo built Batch around small batch, ever-evolving beers—starting with their flagship American Pale Ale, a crisp, malty classic loaded with bold U.S. hops. Batch continues to release fresh brews weekly, from hoppy IPAs to dark and funky experiments. In 2022, they cofounded the Local Drinks Collective with Wayward Brewing to champion indie Australian beverage brands. Still independent, still brewing for the people—Batch keeps it real, one batch at a time.

BATLOW CIDER CO. Batlow, New South Wales

Hailing from the picturesque town of Batlow at the base of Mt. Kosciuszko, Batlow Cider Co. is proudly 100% independent and owned by the very apple growers who make the region famous. Thanks to Batlow’s ideal climate, rich soil, and generations of growing expertise, the apples are second to none—and so is the cider. Handcrafted with no added sugar, each can contains the equivalent of four Batlow apples, delivering a clean, crisp taste that celebrates the fruit at its best. From orchard to glass, it’s cider with real roots.

BEHEMOTH BREWING COMPANY Auckland, New Zealand

Founded in 2013 by Andrew Childs, Behemoth Brewing Co. has grown into one of New Zealand’s most awarded and beloved independent craft breweries. Known for their bold, hop-forward beers and playful branding, Behemoth has a mission to awaken a sense of fun in beer lovers by presenting great beer with a smile. With multiple wins at the Australian International Beer Awards and the Brewers Guild of New Zealand Beer Awards under their giant belt, Behemoth continues to impress with their creative, high quality beers.

BIG SHED BREWING CONCERN Royal Park, South Australia

Craig Basford and Jason Harris started brewing in a shed in 2002. Who knew that from these humble beginnings the boys would go on to create one of the most sought after and loved craft breweries in Australia. Amazing, experimental flavours and varieties compliment the core Big Shed range. Their award cabinet keeps growing, with wins including Best Specialty Beer at the Australian International Beer Awards and recognition for sustainability.

BIG TWIST by BIG SHED BREWING Royal Park, South Australia

Big Twist is Big Shed’s hard beverage range that brings real flavours with a twist, not too sweet, just crafted, authentic and ready to be enjoyed.

BLACK HOPS BREWING Gold Coast, Queensland  

What started in 2014 as a conversation over beers between three mates—Dan, Eddie, and Govs—led to their first creation, the now iconic Eggnog Stout. By 2016, Black Hops Brewing had opened its first brewery and taproom in Burleigh Heads, and soon after, was crowned Australia’s Champion Small Brewery at the Independent Beer Awards. Black Hops continues to push boundaries with standout brews like The G.O.A.T. Hazy IPA—originally brewed for the Indies, it scored a gold medal and has been voted Australia’s favourite hazy IPA in the GABS Hottest 100 four years running. From humble beginnings to national acclaim, Black Hops is proof that good beer and a bold idea can go a long way.

BLACKMAN’S BREWERY Torquay, Victoria

Highly awarded craft beers from power couple Jess and Renn Blackman. Renn is a qualified brewer out of Fremantle WA, who along with his awesome team brews and cans they produce on site. Jess brings a strong background in hospitality and business management. Crowned Champion Small Australian Brewery at the Australian International Beer Awards in 2019,  the Blackman’s produce a huge range of craft brews across their core range and limited release beers, with multiple Australian Indie Beer Awards gold medal winners among them.

BRIGHT BREWERY Bright, Victoria

Bright Brewery was born in 2005 from a passion for well made beer, a love for the town of Bright and its pristine alpine environment. Founded by Scott Brandon, his late wife Fiona Reddaway and their friends David and Julia, driven by a desire to make beer great and to share Bright’s spectacular surrounds. The Bright brewers love experimenting with different flavours and consider themselves lucky to be located in a pristine mountain valley renowned for hops growing, no wonder their beers have also won Australian Independent Beer Awards Gold.

CAPITAL BREWING CO. Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Capital Brewing Co. was founded in September 2016 by Canberra locals and longtime mates Tom Hertel and Laurence Kain. Their philosophy ‘Good Natured’ guides everything they do, from brewing to business, with a focus on sustainability, community, and quality.

Located near Brindabella National Park, Capital uses some of the world’s purest water and sources fresh, natural ingredients locally wherever possible to reduce their environmental impact. This conscious approach has earned Capital Brewing numerous accolades, including multiple Australian Independent Beer Awards, high rankings in the GABS Hottest 100, and recognition from the Beer & Brewer Awards.

COAST Torquay, Victoria

Coast Hard Seltzer is another brainchild from the Blackman’s - Jess and Renn of Blackman’s Brewing. Low calorie and refreshing, these are definitely a must-have in your store or behind the bar. No sugar, no gluten, no worries!

COMMON PEOPLE BREWING CO. Bangalow, New South Wales

We’d argue that the team behind Common People are one in a million, same goes for their beer. The team work closely with farmers, producers and other local businesses within the Northern Rivers region, a philosophy that gives rise to brewery and beers that taste anything but common and they have the medals to prove it—gold, silver and bronze at the Australian Indie Beer Awards and accolades in the Untappd Community Awards. It’s not just about the beer —environmental responsibility is at the heart of everything they do. Through innovative recycling programs and circular practices, Common People is as committed to sustainability as they are to craft beer.

GOLDEN AXE Dandenong South, Victoria

Golden Axe is the flagship cider from the dynamic duo Nat and Callum Reeves of KAIJU! Beer. Crafted with the same bold creativity that defines their beer, Golden Axe is a refreshingly crisp cider made entirely from 100% Aussie apples—no added sugar, no concentrate, just pure apple goodness.

HARGREAVES HILL Yarra Valley, Victoria

Founded in 2004 by classical pianist Simon Walkenhorst and opera singer Beth Williams, Hargreaves Hill Brewing Co. is a pioneer of Australia's craft beer movement. What began in a modest shed has evolved into a brewery renowned for its dedication to traditional brewing techniques and a passion for innovation. A solid, award winning core range that showcases refined interpretations of classic styles, and inventive and bold seasonal releases. The team at Hargreaves Hill have definitely weathered the highs and lows, from the devastation of bushfire in 2009 to continuing to make award winning beers - their commitment to quality and creativity has earned Hargreaves Hill numerous accolades. With a blend of artistic heritage and brewing excellence, Hargreaves Hill continues to produce beers that resonate with both tradition and innovation.

HAWKERS BREWING Reservoir, Victoria

Fiercely independent with unconditional commitment to spreading flavoursome beer, brewed with high quality ingredients, nothing artificial or chemical. Hawkers beers have won numerous awards over their 10 years in operation—champion brewery and multiple Gold and Silver at the Australian Independent Beer Awards, and high recognition by GABS Hottest 100 and Untappd Community Awards. Another brewery highly committed to sustainability in everything they do, which we love to see. They have the biggest solar array of any brewery in Melbourne and minimise waste by providing spent grain to feed cattle.

KAIJU! BEER Dandenong South, Victoria

Founded in 2013 by brothers Nat and Callum Reeves, KAIJU! Beer burst onto the scene with their explosive first release, Aftermath Double IPA—a brew so bold it sparked a statewide shortage of Simcoe hops. Since then, they’ve carved out a cult following with their hop-forward beers, wild flavour profiles, and instantly recognisable monster-themed branding.

Staying proudly 100% family owned, KAIJU! (which means "strange creature" in Japanese) channels the spirit of giant cinematic beasts like Godzilla and Mothra into every brew. Their beers have earned numerous accolades, including multiple wins at the Australian International Beer Awards, cementing their status as legends of the craft beer scene.

LAST DROP BREWERY Bedfordale, Western Australia

Established in 1992, Last Drop Brewery is Western Australia’s oldest operating craft brewery, nestled in the scenic Perth Hills of Bedfordale. The brewery itself has a rich backstory—originally built in a medieval Bavarian village, it was transported and reassembled by German Master Brewer Horst Kempf, bringing centuries of brewing tradition to WA. Now run by the Forster family, the brewery continues to honour its roots, crafting beers according to the Bavarian Beer Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot). This commitment to tradition and quality has earned Last Drop multiple awards and trophies at the Perth Royal Beer Awards, making it a true icon of WA brewing.

RECKLESS BREWING CO. Bathurst, New South Wales

Reckless by name, not by nature! Reckless Brewing is the collaborative creation of longtime friends Jarrod, Alice and Head Brewer, Grace. Their mission is straightforward: to craft exceptional beers using the freshest, high-quality, preservative-free ingredients. Their dedication to the craft has garnered recognition on the craft beer scene, winning multiple trophies at the Australian International Beer Awards and the Sydney Royal Beer & Cider Show.

SEEKER BREWING Wollongong, New South Wales

Located in the industrial heart of Unanderra on the south side of ‘the Gong’, Seeker Brewing is a space where locals and travellers come together. Founded by head brewer Jeff Argent, known for his work with gypsy brewing outfit Grassy Knoll Brewing, impressively garnering multiple medals at the 2021 Australian International Beer Awards (AIBAs). Since opening in 2022, Seeker has already made it’s mark on the craft beer scene, winning four gold, two silver and two bronze at the AIBAs in 2023. Beyond brewing, Seeker Brewing is deeply committed to fostering community connections, hosting monthly artist residencies, giving a platform for local creatives to showcase their work.  

SOBAH BEVERAGES Gold Coast, Queensland

Founded in 2017 by Gamilaroi man Dr. Clinton Schultz and his wife Lozen, Sobah is Australia’s first Aboriginal-owned non-alcoholic craft beer company. Based on Kombumerri country, Sobah blends mindful drinking with Indigenous culture. Brewed without chemicals, preservatives, or alcohol-removal processes, Sobah’s beers are crisp, fresh, and infused with native ingredients like finger lime and pepperberry. Sobah is more than a brewery—it’s a cultural movement changing the face of Australian beverage culture.

SPOTTY DOG BREWERY Hobart, Tasmania

Independent Tassie beer, with a growing reputation. At the helm is Head Brewer Rhyley Wellsmore, who began his craft in Germany and refined it at some of Australia’s largest breweries before bringing his expertise to this family-run operation. Spotty Dog’s beers are known for their innovation and variety, crafted with consistency, care, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. With every batch, they’re raising the bar for what independent Tasmanian beer can be.

WADDI SPRINGS Mansfield, Queensland

Waddi Springs, based in Mansfield, Queensland, is a proudly Indigenous-owned company delivering premium natural spring water. Founded in 2015, Waddi sources pure spring water and bottles it in 100% recyclable glass and aluminium bottles. More than just hydration, Waddi Springs represents clean, conscious, and community-driven refreshment.

WAYWARD BREWING CO. Camperdown, New South Wales

Founded in 2012 by homebrewer Peter Philip, Wayward has carved its name into the craft beer scene with inventive, preservative free, unfiltered beers that put a fresh twist on traditional styles. Head Brewer Shaun Blissett brings a wealth of experience to the team and the beers have picked up serious recognition at both the Australian International Beer Awards and the Indies. Despite a brief voluntary administration in 2024, they’ve come out stronger in 2025 and still proudly independent, having joined forces with Akasha Brewing in a strategic partnership to strengthen operations and share resources. Wayward continues to brew beer their way—bold, quality-focused, and always just a little off the beaten path.

WHITE BAY BREWERY Balmain, New South Wales

Founded in 2020 by industry veterans Adam Trippe-Smith, Tim Fishwick, and Tim Condon, White Bay Beer Co. has turned a historic Rozelle steel mill into one of Sydney’s most exciting breweries. Known for clean, refined beers with a modern twist, White Bay’s Munich Lager has taken top honours—winning Champion Australian Indie Beer at the 2022 Independent Beer Awards and Champion Lager at the Sydney Royal Beer & Cider Awards.

WOLF OF THE WILLOWS Mordialloc, Victoria

Founded in 2014 by husband and wife team Scott and Renae McKinnon, Wolf of the Willows is a Melbourne based craft brewery known for its small batch, modern ales. Scott's early brewing experiences with his dad and Renae's background in wine and beverage marketing have shaped their approach to brewing, emphasizing quality and character in every beer Known for their small-batch, handcrafted approach, the couple, along with their dedicated team, craft modern ales that balance approachability with innovation. From crisp pale ales to complex, barrel-aged releases, every brew is made with intention and character.

Their commitment to quality hasn’t gone unnoticed, earning them multiple trophies and medals at the Australian International Beer Awards. With creativity at their core and a reputation for excellence, Wolf of the Willows continues to deliver truly distinguished ales.
