Our Story

Froth Craft Beer Co. is a proudly family-owned and operated wholesale distribution business, run by Jock Wilberforce and his partner, Kat. Jock’s journey began in the hospitality scene of the '90s and early 2000s, managing some of Western Australia's most iconic pubs. In 2006, he took a leap—sold his house, pulled together his savings and founded The Freo Doctor Liquor Store, a staunchly independent bottle shop that quickly became a local favourite in Fremantle and remains so nearly two decades on.

We launched Froth in 2016 with a clear goal: to work with producers and businesses that share our values—people who care deeply about quality, community, and doing things the right way. While we said goodbye to The Freo Doctor in early 2025, the experience we gained in independent retail, along with Jock’s hospitality background and Kat’s former career in urban planning and sustainable development, continues to shape everything we do.

At Froth, we’re all about supporting like-minded independent businesses and helping bring quality products to the people who love them. We care about the people and story behind the products we distribute and we make it a point to work with brands that value integrity as much as we do.

Looking ahead, we’re growing. In 2025, we’ll be moving into a larger, custom-built warehouse—an exciting step that will allow us to better serve our partners and raise the bar on everything we do. We're here to bring the good stuff: real, good beer, brewed by real, good people.
