Our Story

Froth Craft Beer is an independent, family owned and run wholesale distribution company established in 2016 by Jock Wilberforce. Jock cut his teeth in the hospitality industry back in the 90’s and 00’s, managing some of WA’s most iconic pubs - including the Roebuck Bay Hotel in Broome and Caves House in Yallingup. In 2006, he scraped together his savings, sold his house down south and opened The Freo Doctor Liquor Store, which after 16 years of hard work has become a staunch Freo favourite. Jock has a dedicated team behind him, including his partner Kat who recently took a side step away from her 12 year career in urban and regional planning to join Jock and the Froth crew.  

Small batches, artisinal methods and a principled approach to brewing is what modern craft beer is all about. One of Froth’s core values is sustainability - our aim is to partner with other like-minded, principled businesses who strive to make quality products with a triple or better yet quadruple bottom line - cultural, economic, environmental and social accounting. The combination of Jock’s industry experience, extensive professional network and expert-level knowledge of booze with Kat’s passion for sustainability and planning brain makes Froth an appealing option for sales and distribution of craft beer.

When they’re not working in Freo, you’ll find Jock and Kat relaxing with their 3 kids and doggo at the beach, or having a few good brews and a lot of laughs with friends and family.
